Sustainability and environmental protection are key issues in the logistics industry, especially in the labeling of dangerous goods. Legal requirements and ecological responsibility must go hand in hand. We are proud that our collaboration with HERMA was highlighted in the Sustainability Report 2023.
Sustainable hazardous goods labels rethought
Traditionally, the procurement of hazardous goods labels was associated with challenges. Companies often had to order large quantities in order to achieve economical prices. This led to overstocks that became obsolete due to legal updates and had to be disposed of – a considerable waste of resources.
This is exactly where our cooperation with HERMA comes in: Hazardous goods labels can be ordered in quantities as low as 1 and delivered across Europe within 24 hours. This reduces stock levels and prevents unnecessary disposal.
Partnership for quality and sustainability
HERMA, as a leading specialist for labels and adhesive materials, brings decades of experience and comprehensive know-how to the development of materials. The materials are specially selected for hazardous goods labels and printed in accordance with applicable standards. BOXLAB Services takes care of the legally compliant design, individualization and the entire ordering and shipping process.
We are particularly proud of our sustainable approach: we take back siliconized carrier materials that arise during label production and return them to the recycling cycle. In this way, we actively reduce waste and close material cycles.
Fast.
To avoid downtime in the warehouse, we guarantee our customers Europe-wide delivery in a maximum of 24 hours.
Sustainable.
Thanks to our service and product portfolio, we are able to develop sustainable recycling processes with our customers, such as our carrier paper recycling.
Easy.
Our intuitive interface makes it child’s play to order even complex, combined products from BOXLAB in a matter of seconds.
From 1 piece.
Contrary to the usual minimum order quantities in the four- or five-digit range, we offer all our products from a quantity of 1.
The labels are supplied on individual sheets or on a roll. BOXLAB Services guarantees legal certainty with regard to the current status of the legally prescribed layouts for all transport routes (ADR, RID, IATA or IMDG), which is particularly important with regard to possible fines for incorrect labeling.
The individual imprint in certified printers used by BOXLAB Services with the appropriate ink in combination with HERMA materials also continues to meet the seawater resistance BS5609 Section 3. To further increase safety for users, BOXLAB Services can accompany the entire labeling process on request, for example with a bio-cleaner that optimally prepares surfaces for the hazardous goods labels and with a special scraper for safe subsequent removal.
Unsere nachhaltigen Lösungen im Überblick:
- Legally compliant design: Guaranteed compliance with legal requirements for all transportation routes.
- Environmentally friendly materials: Resource-saving material combinations for maximum sustainability.
- Innovative multiple solutions: 2in1, 3in1 and 4in1 labels to increase efficiency.
Our vision is clear: we want to make dangerous goods labeling more efficient, safer and more sustainable – for our customers and for the environment.
