At BOXLAB Services, sustainability is a part us. Not only have we geared our services towards achieving more sustainable results for our customers, we also optimize internal processes. That’s why we also demand and encourage new and innovative ideas from our employees. In the course of introducing the 9-euro ticket, the idea therefore developed to use this incentive and also to make the commute to work of individual employees as CO2-saving as possible.

We therefore did not hesitate for long and decided to provide each employee with the 9-Euro-Ticket free of charge for the scheduled 3 months.

As motivated as we are to make our daily lives as sustainable as possible, we are also realistic. We know that the car can be too tempting in the morning when it’s raining or when you overhear the first two alarm clocks. That’s why we are organizing the BOXLAB Sustainability Cup 2022 during the period of validity of the 9-euro ticket.

For this purpose, each employee enters in a calendar in the morning which means of transport he or she used to get to work that day. At the end of the day, the costs are calculated as a percentage of attendance in order to create comparable conditions.

Minister of Economics Daniela Schmittvisits the TechnologieZentrum Ludwigshafen
We at BOXLAB Services are very pleased to once again experience the innovative environment in which we are allowed to establish and expand our business. Our neighbor, the biotechnology company Bio-Gram Diagnostics GmbH, won the pioneering spirit competition of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate last year. This was followed in January by the minister's personal visit to Bio-Gram, the TechnologieZentrum Ludwigshafen and the companies located in the TZL. Thus, we were also able to present BOXLAB Services GmbH and our business model.

Regarding the role of the TZL, which played no insignificant role in this success, Petrit Blakaj (Bio-Gram founder) emphasized:
„The TZL has supported us in every way,“ TZL Managing Director Michael Hanf says: „I see the TechnologieZentrum Ludwigshafen as a jumping-off point for founders, who can grow in a supervised environment with the support of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, and then make the jump and make room for more start-ups.“

Based on our own success so far, also through cooperation with the TZL, we can only confirm this, thank them for the cooperation so far and congratulate Bio-Gram and the TZL for this success and the well-deserved recognition.

One year BOXLAB Services GmbHBirthday time
Last year was - for BOXLAB Services in particular - an eventful year. In addition to the Corona pandemic and an increasing shortage of raw materials, we were primarily occupied with tasks relating to the establishment of our company during the start-up phase. Almost daily we held talks and negotiations with suppliers, customers, media partners and applicants - with success! After this first year, BOXLAB Services is already breaking even, has expanded its product portfolio with various products and services, and serves over 100 warehouses in 20 countries in addition to local freight forwarders.

In total, this makes more than 1,500 labeled cardboard boxes and over 1 million labels – figures that leave us speechless.

The logical consequence of this success is also reflected in our structures. In addition to newly rented premises in our chosen home: the TZL Regional Innovation Center Ludwigshafen, we have taken on our first trainee in cooperation with the Palatinate Chamber of Industry and Commerce and hired four new employees.

As nice as the first year as an independent company was for us – we still have a long way to go, which is why we like to look back, but we also like to look forward: We want to continue on our successful path and continue to grow. That is why we are still looking for active support in the operational area and in customer service. We also want to give an apprentice the chance to learn in our company again this year.
